Misoprostol  is chemically Mixture of methyl 7-[(1RS,2RS,3RS)-3-hydroxy-2-[(1E,4RS)-4-hydroxy-4-methyloct-1-enyl]-5-oxocyclopentyl]heptanoate and methyl 7-[(1RS,2RS,3RS)-3-hydroxy-2-[(1E,4SR)-4-hydroxy-4-methyloct-1-enyl]-5-oxocyclopentyl]heptanoate (as per EP) ; ((±)-Methyl (1R,2R,3R)-3-hydroxy-2-[(E)-(4RS)-4-hydroxy-4-methyl-1-octenyl]-5-oxocyclopentaneheptanoate) (as per USP). Misoprostol  is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline. Misoprostol  can be used for the analytical method development, method validation (AMV), Quality Controlled (QC) application for Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or during commercial production of Misoprostol.
