Sertraline EP Impurity C (HCl salt) is chemically (1RS,4RS)-4-(4-Chlorophenyl)-N-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-1-amine hydrochloride (as per EP) ; (1RS,4RS)-4-(2,3-Dichlorophenyl)-N-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-1-amine (as per USP). It is also known as rac-cis-3-Dechloro Sertraline HCl ; 2,3-Isosertraline (USP).
