Levothyroxine is chemically (2S)-2-Amino-3-[4-(4-hydroxy-3,5-diiodophenoxy)-3,5-diiodophenyl]propanoate (as per EP) ; (O-(4-Hydroxy-3,5-diiodophenyl)-3,5-diiodo-l-tyrosine) (as per USP). It is also known as L-Thyroxine. Levothyroxine is supplied with detailed characterization data compliant with regulatory guideline. Levothyroxine can be used for the analytical method development, method validation (AMV), Quality Controlled (QC) application for Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) or during commercial production of Levothyroxine.
